Open Position - Sponsorship Chair

Keeps all sponsorships organized and running smoothly. Communicates with businesses when necessary, makes sure they receive the right recognition for their sponsorship level, coordinates with the Denim & Spring Chair, and handles the hanging of sponsor banners on campus or at events. This job can easily be done with small snippets of free time from the comfort of your couch.

Bingo Night
● Coordinate & Organize Event & Donations
Community Engagement
● Send recognition (flowers, cards, small gifts, etc.) under special circumstance as needed
Assist in publicity of special events
Community Garden
● Manage all aspects of maintaining the community garden including coordinating volunteers and managing the budget
Discretionary Funds
● Solicit ideas for spending of additional funds raised beyond budget.
● Present ideas for spending of additional funds to BOD for discussion and approval
Faculty Liaison
● Coordinate Faculty Holiday luncheon in December
● Coordinate Faculty Appreciation week in May
● Send correspondence from PFA to faculty as needed (i.e. birthday cards)
Faculty Representatives
● Attend PFA Board Meetings to represent the faculty and report to the PFA as needed on behalf of the faculty
● Report important PFA information to the faculty as needed
Field Day
● Assemble and supervise a team of volunteers to assist with Field Day in June
● Meet to plan and coordinate the event as needed
● Promote and manage all aspects of the event including coordinating with vendors and managing the budget
Fundraising
A - Jog-A-Thon:
● Coordinate and organize the event and fundraising
B - Denim & Spring:
● Assemble a team of volunteers to assist with Denim & Spring in March ● Coordinate and organize all aspects of the event including vendor meetings and managing the budget
Gopher Day
● Assemble and supervise a team of volunteers to assist with Gopher Day in September
● Meet to plan and coordinate the event as needed, including prior to the start of school
● Promote and manage all aspect of the event including coordinating with vendors and managing the budget
Government Affairs
● Keep the PFA apprised of any legislation affecting education in general
● Keep the PFA apprised of issues and activities within the WCSD
● Communicate with Roy Gomm’s Trustee as necessary
Hospitality
● Coordinate Welcome Back event for faculty the week before school begins
● Coordinate Welcome Back coffee event on the first day of school
● Coordinate Kindergarten Welcome Tea on the first day of kindergarten
Meet the Masters
● Assemble a team of volunteers to run the Meet the Masters program, including training for those who will be leading the projects in each classroom
● Manage the budget
Membership
● Coordinate beginning the year membership drive
● Keep the parent handbook up to date & distribute annually
● Maintain updated PFA general membership list
Parliamentary
● Updates Bylaws as needed and is familiar with PFA guidelines
Philanthropy/Sister School
● Coordinate collection and distribution of food items for the Thanksgiving food drive for our sister school
● Coordinate the Angel Tree during Christmas
● Coordinate other philanthropic drives (i.e. clothing, blood or book drives)
Room Parent/Parent Patrol
● Maintain list and contact information for all Room Parents
● Communicate with Room Parents on all PFA Activities as needed
● Coordinate Parent Patrol Sign up list if needed
Safety
● Work on & implement ideas for traffic control/parking during drop off/pick up
Uniforms
● Coordinate beginning of the school year uniform give away
● Coordinate end of the school year uniform donation
Yearbook
● Design and complete the yearbook over the course of the school year by collecting photographs from faculty and families, as well as tributes to graduating students.
● Solicit volunteers as needed.
● Communicate with faculty, families and PFA as needed on the status of the yearbook and to coordinate the sale of yearbooks.
